Redbirds recap: JJ Wetherholt shines, but Memphis drops both games to Charlotte

St. Louis Cardinals top prospect JJ Wetherholt produced three extra-base hits for the Memphis Redbirds in his Triple-A debut games Wednesday night against Charlotte.
The Redbirds lost Game 1 of the doubleheader, 10-4, but Wetherholt played shortstop and went 2-for-4 with a triple and a home run. In the 9-4 Game 2 loss, Wetherholt went 1-for-4 with a double and served as the designated hitter.
