Redbirds recap: Memphis opens 2026 with win at Gwinnett

The Memphis Redbirds opened the 2026 season with a 3-0 win Friday at the Gwinnett (Georgia) Stripers.

Third baseman Ramon Mendoza and catcher Jimmy Crooks hit home runs to lead the offense. Mendoza ended the night 3-for-4 with the home run and two RBIs.
