Redbirds dominate Red Wings, force decisive Game 3

The Memphis Redbirds survived elimination and trounced the Rochester Red Wings 15-4 in Game 2 of the best-of-three series Wednesday at AutoZone Park.
The Redbirds won their first playoff game in eight seasons. The last win was in 2018 when Memphis won the Triple-A championship game against the Durham Bulls.
Game 1 of the series was defined by Memphis’ inability to drive runners in from scoring positions. In Game 2, the Redbirds flipped the script. Memphis went 10-for-18 with runners in scoring position in Game 2 after going 1-for-9 with RISP the night before.
