Memphis’ matchup versus Alabama State on Friday will be the Tigers’ final time playing at FedExForum for more than three weeks.

The Tigers used a 12-3 run over the last three minutes of the fourth quarter to force overtime against 15th-ranked Tennessee, but fell 84-74 Monday in Knoxville.

The Tigers would have liked to put some of their opponents away in a less stressful manner, but those moments might have helped Memphis be more prepared for what situations might arise when SMU travels to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
