Grizzlies throttle Hornets, but lose Jaylen Wells for season

The Memphis Grizzlies did exactly what they needed to Tuesday night to set up a mega-showdown later this week.
Star point guard Ja Morant and the Grizzlies walked into Spectrum Center against the flailing Hornets — losers of 13 straight — and left no doubt with a 124-100 win.
Memphis piled on the points, built a double-digit lead in fewer than five minutes, then cruised to the finish line.
