Morant says he’s grateful for Memphis as he tries to show Portland ‘a different Ja’

LAS VEGAS — When Ja Morant finished talking on Saturday morning, July 11, inside a fancy carpeted meeting room at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort, there was one order of business left.
A white, No. 1 Portland Trail Blazers jersey with his last name awaited his signature on the conference table.
He picked up the black marker and scribbled.
“Dang man!” Morant said seconds later. “I signed it No. 12. I keep doing that.”
