Hill: At summer league, the future of the franchise came into picture

There was one part of the Memphis Grizzlies summer league campaign that was particularly refreshing.
It had nothing to do with the individual performance of any player on the court.
Instead of simply pressing the restart button as the franchise heads into a new era of basketball, it felt like the team ripped that button off the wall.
Memphis didn’t just take summer league seriously. The Grizzlies tried to win. They didn’t shut down players like their opponents. They didn’t prioritize caution as they’ve done in the past.
