It was fleeting, but at the start of the third quarter Monday night the Grizzlies showed a little spunk. With Mike Conley hitting a pair of triples and Garrett Temple also knocking down a three, the Grizzlies went on a 9-2 run and held a 60-55 lead over the Pelicans in New Orleans.

The Grizzlies and Chandler Parsons have agreed to an indefinite separation after the forward declined a rehab assignment to the G League Memphis Hustle. Parsons signed a four-year, $94 million contract with Memphis in the summer of 2016.

It took so long after the Grizzlies’ 101-94 loss to the Detroit Pistons for head coach J.B. Bickerstaff to emerge from the locker room and into his post-game presser that you’d be forgiven for thinking the team was once again trying to figure out which Brooks they were trading.

Blake Griffin had 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, and the Detroit Pistons beat the Memphis Grizzlies 101-94 on Wednesday night to snap a three-game skid.

With a 113-101 loss in Houston, the Grizzlies fell to 18-18, at .500 for the second time since their 2-2 start and in danger of their first losing record since opening night.

The Grizzlies lost another big lead and then let a close game slip away, as they fell to the Boston Celtics 112-103. 

Kyrie Irving had 26 points and 13 assists, Al Horford added 18 points, including a pair of key 3-pointers in the closing 1:32, and the Boston Celtics rallied for a 112-103 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
