The Memphis Grizzlies played the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena in Washington.

Coach Taylor Jenkins watched his team play a much better game against a much better opponent this second time out, and seemed about as at peace as a coach can be after a loss.

Sure, the home team lost another opener. But there were actual happy tears at the game. Why? Because the Memphis Grizzlies are back for their 23rd year.

“With this project, it was kinda different because a lot of times clients are trying to steer things toward more of a clean-cut look,” said artist Brandon Marshall. 

After the NBPA released an initial statement in June that claimed the suspension was “excessive and inappropriate,” both sides appear to be moving forward with the number already in place.

The Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant, Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke and Santi Aldama when the season begins.

Derrick Rose said he has never been around a team that likes being around each other more than the current Memphis Grizzlies group.

The Memphis Grizzlies have expanded the Grizzlies Den ahead of the new season to provide a better experience for shoppers at games this season. 

The Grizzlies expressed their disappointment that Steven Adams will miss the season on Monday. The team leaders now turn to Jaren Jackson Jr. to step up his rebounding game. 

There are only a few tickets left in the Pinnacle and plaza levels ahead of the Grizzlies’ opening night game against the Pelicans on Wednesday, Oct. 25. 

When the Grizzlies take the court Wednesday, it will do so without three of what would have been its top seven players, together accounting for $60 million of the team’s $150 million in player salary. How will the team refashion themselves on the fly?
