It was possibly the biggest crowd ever for a Grizzlies’ open practice, and the entertainment included Kennedy Chandler being voted champion of the rookie dance competition.

The Grizzlies’ defense disappointed in a loss to the Heat reserves on Friday night. 

The Grizzlies forward hopes that this season looks a little different than the last, and not only because he played just 32 games due to injuries. 

Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks have potential to be the best wing duo in franchise history.

Steven Adams said it was an easy decision to sign his extension with the Grizzlies because he believes in the direction of the franchise. 

The Grizzlies’ bowling event at Andy B’s Bowl Social in Bartlett was the first time in years that the Memphis players had a chance to be face-to-face with fans.

Santi Aldama followed the Grizzlies’ plan this summer. Now he’s in line to reap the rewards. 

The team’s three most experienced players are elite “culture” guys, and two of them are also coming off what, in some ways, are career seasons.

Santi Aladama got the starting nod from Taylor Jenkins and scored 21 points in the Grizzlies’ dominant victory over the Orlando Magic.

The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a two-year, $25.2 million extension with starting center Steven Adams. 

The Grizzlies made a few tweaks to their “Statement Edition” uniforms ahead of the new season. 

Taylor Jenkins said it is “to be determined” if he will use his typical starters in the first preseason game on Saturday night.

On Thursday, the Memphis Grizzlies unveiled the Big River Steel Edge, an open, renovated space overlooking FedExForum’s main lobby at one end and the basketball court on the other.

Green was traded to the Grizzlies on draft night. For now, it sounds as if the Memphis front office would like to hold onto him. He already pointed out the similarities between Memphis and his former Texas home. 

Ja Morant said he sees comments about his partying on social media, but he doesn’t let fun get in the way of practice time. 

Dillon Brooks acknowledged at media day that he is going into a contract year. If he plays more efficiently, he will be costly to whichever team signs him next.

Heavy reliance on a single creator has tended to stall out at the highest levels, and that’s even more true for teams relying on smaller guards. 

When the Grizzlies acquired Green in a late-June trade that sent De’Anthony Melton to the Philadelphia 76ers, there was speculation that the team would look to trade Green for a younger, healthier player. But, now, it seems as if the Grizzlies and Green have realized the value of their pairing.

Ja Morant and the Grizzlies assembled at FedExForum for media day. It’s the team’s 22nd season in Memphis. And it should be a blast.

John Konchar might be the least glamorous player in the NBA. But he could also be a terrific return on investment for the Grizzlies, who need him to play well this season.
