The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Golden State Warriors, 134-95, in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals. Here are some photos from the game. 

Steph Curry said the Warriors’ plan to close out the Grizzlies was to “Whoop That Trick.” Yeah, that was a mistake. The Grizzlies responded with one of the great whoopings in NBA playoff history.

The Warriors haven’t really looked like the better team. Not decisively, at least. And the Grizzlies shouldn’t consider a great Game 5 their last hurrah.

With 3:44 remaining in the third quarter, Jaren Jackson Jr. went to the scorer’s table and asked for “Whoop that Trick.” It was that kind of blowout for the Grizzlies in Game 5.

Whatever happens, this has been a great Grizzlies season, one of only three in franchise history to include more than 50 wins in the regular season and also advancement in the playoffs. 

The Grizzlies point guard sat out Game 4 against the Warriors, which Memphis lost, 101-98.

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 98-101 in Game 4, Round 2 of the NBA Playoff series.

What was Dillon Brooks thinking? Why did he take that shot? The Grizzlies had the win right there for the taking. On a very hard ending to a very hard day. 

The Grizzlies were without star point guard Ja Morant. Desmond Bane still wasn’t quite right, scoring only eight points. But despite a team-high eight assists, it seemed like no one struggled like Dillon Brooks.

The Grizzlies offered little update on Ja Morant’s knee, and Dillon Brooks said he would take back his foul on Gary Payton II if he could. 

The Memphis Grizzlies will face the Golden State Warriors tonight at 9 p.m. for Game 4, Round 2, of the NBA Playoffs.

Former Memphis Tigers player James Wiseman said he was not interviewed by the IARP for its investigation, and he believes Penny Hardaway will keep the Tigers program on track. 

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant has been the biggest reason why the series has been competitive. Now it’s someone else’s turn. 

Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said there’s a “good chance” Ja Morant won’t be able to play in Game 4 on Monday. What it means for Morant, for the Grizzlies and for this increasingly bitter playoff series.

If the Grizzlies star point guard is not able to play in Game 4 against the Warriors, Tyus Jones will start.

Supporters of the Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors take to social media. Some wonder why Steven Adams didn’t play more minutes Saturday night; others ask, “Why can’t we just talk about the hoops?”

The skies have been blessedly clear in San Francisco since the Grizzlies arrived here a few days ago. A gloomy fog has settled over the series instead. It wasn’t supposed to be that way, and still doesn’t have to be. 

When asked about Dillon Brooks, Golden State Warriors fans said they plan to mercilessly boo him on Monday night in Game 4.
