This is perhaps the biggest young star in the NBA, subject to a league gun investigation twice in five weeks. It’s a red alarm issue far beyond Memphis.

The NBA’s investigation did not conclude that the weapon belonged to Morant, nor was it brought by him into the nightclub or displayed by him “beyond a brief period.” 

Opinion: Jaren Jackson Jr. has already made blocking shots cool. In fact, he’s probably taken it to a level very few could have seen coming.

Last season, Jackson led the NBA in blocks and combined blocks and steals. After missing the first month of the season, he’s not quite there yet, but is within striking range.

David Roddy followed his heroic performance on Saturday with 19 points and another win over the Mavericks on Monday night.

The timeline for star point guard Ja Morant’s return to the Grizzlies remains in question.

An annual checkup on who the Memphis Grizzlies will be cheering for in the big dance. 

This kind of night was a rookie rarity. Who was the last Grizzlies rookie to score at least 17 points in a quarter? Dillon Brooks knew the answer: “That was me.”

Rookie David Roddy scored 17 points in the fourth quarter and took over the game in a comeback win for the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.

The Grizzlies smashed the Golden State Warriors Thursday and then got a message from their missing leader, Ja Morant. It doesn’t mean that all is well with the franchise. But a hard day ended in hope.

“We’ve had conversations in the past trying to guide him and help him continue to evolve as a person and a player,” said Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins.

Steven Adams is out at least another four weeks? What the heck? Wasn’t he close to returning?

Memphis’ starting center has been out since Jan. 22 with a sprained knee ligament.

Opinion: If the wheels perhaps haven’t come off this once-promising Grizzlies season, they’ve at least gone flat, lost a few bolts and are wobbling back down the road, maybe emitting flames.

The Memphis Grizzlies point guard has been away from the team since Saturday, March 4.

The Glendale PD investigated the incident and “was not able to determine that probable cause existed for the filing of any charges,” the department said.

Danny Green, who was traded from Memphis to Houston last month, discussed the situation Wednesday.

Former Memphis big man has not forgotten his NBA roots.

The Grizzlies had a six-point lead in the fourth quarter but couldn’t hold it to complete a disappointing four-game road trip.
