On Tuesday night, the Memphis Grizzlies will play their regular season homecourt finale against the Portland Trail Blazers before heading out on a season-concluding three-game road trip.

The Grizzlies led by 23 points, but crumbled in the second half against Chicago and allowed 31 points off turnovers.

Kenneth Lofton Jr. named NBA G League Rookie of the Year

Grizzlies two-way player Kenneth Lofton Jr. was named NBA G League Rookie of the Year. He averaged 20.2 points and 10.5 rebounds in 17 games for the Memphis Hustle this season.

Ja Morant has taken off the mask, and says he’s not worried about the All-NBA team. “My mind is on continuing to win games, finish the regular season off strong and then get ready for the playoffs,”he said. “To start our journey to go win a ring.”

Despite a night off from meaningful players on both sides, the home team had the game’s lone active star in Ja Morant. The visitors had the deeper cast of proven NBA players, and that proved too much.

Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Tyus Jones are all listed as doubtful against the Clippers on Wednesday night. Ja Morant is expected to play. 

The Grizzlies set a franchise record by winning their 33rd home game Tuesday. Not bad for a team that was supposed to be in disarray not long ago. How did they do it? “This is the closest team I’ve ever been a part of,” said Desmond Bane.

The Grizzlies clinched the best home record in franchise history on Tuesday night with a win over Orlando. They are 33-5 inside FedExForum.
