Memphis gave up a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter, but found a way to win on the road in Portland.

The jersey retirement will take place during a ceremony at FedExForum at a future game to be determined by the program and the late Wright’s family.

The Grizzlies have played just two games so far this season with Dillon Brooks, Ja Morant and Desmond Bane available. 

Utah outdueled Memphis, 121-105, inside Vivint Arena on Monday. They took both games of the baseball-style two-game series.

The Jazz drained 19 3-pointers to outduel the Grizzlies on Saturday night.

The remixed style of Grizzlies offense has Memphis carving up bad NBA defenses early in the season. 

With a 125-110 win, the Grizzlies moved to 4-1 on the season, the Kings to 0-4 and the Grizzlies’ recent dominance in the matchup continued.

The Grizzlies wing, a key piece off the bench, is recovering from patellar tendinitis. 

Ja Morant’s fearlessness, athleticism and leadership have made him one of the NBA’s most clutch players. The numbers suggest he might just be the best in the league. 

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving put on quite a show for the Brooklyn Nets, but Ja Morant and Desmond Bane put on a better one for the Memphis Grizzlies.
