Memphis Tigers walk-on guard Joe Cooper no longer with program

Cooper, the stepson of Rodney Newsom — a former Tigers forward from 1992 to 1996 who was teammates with coach Penny Hardaway — totaled eight points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in 50 minutes through six games last season.
