The new Memphis athletic director Ed Scott has officially been on the job for less than a month, and he should have some hiring news coming soon.

“I tend to move pretty fast,” Scott said to The Daily Memphian Wednesday. “So, you’ll see within the next few days, by the end of next week definitely, you’ll see some announcements about staff being hired and us filling some roles. I’m confident in where we are in that process and who we’ll be able to attract and the type of talent. So I feel really good about that.”

Scott has to replace former assistant athletic director for marketing Josh Moore, former director of athletic stewardship engagement Emily Hagans, director of integrated communications Scott Burns and former associate athletic director for integrated communications and marketing Michael Schroeder.
