Memphis will use preseason loss to North Carolina as measuring stick

“I know where we are,” Memphis coach Penny Hardaway said after the Tigers’ 84-76 loss to No. 9 UNC. “I know where we’re gonna be. I’m not trying to be the best team in October. I’ve learned my lesson on that going into my seventh year.”
