What to watch in Memphis’ Maui Invitational opener against UConn
LAHAINA, Hawaii — There will be a lot up for grabs for the Memphis Tigers when they walk into Lahaina Civic Center to open the 2024 Maui Invitational.
The Tigers (4-0) will take on No. 2 UConn, the two-time defending NCAA champion, Monday (1:30 p.m. CST, ESPN2) in the first game of college basketball’s premier Thanksgiving Week tournament.
The annual tournament returns to Lahaina Civic Center — and to the island of Maui — after being played last year in Honolulu because in early August 2023 wind-driven wildfires ravaged Maui and killed more than 100 people in the historic district of Lahaina.
