Penny Hardaway knows the time is now for his Memphis team to rebuild its reputation.

The Tigers (7-2) were ranked No. 16 in The Associated Press Top 25 poll and trending toward being considered a top-10 team and a top-four seed in the NCAA Tournament following last month’s Maui Invitational. But the group looked like a shell of itself last week at home, when it beat Louisiana Tech by 10 points on Dec. 4 and fell to Arkansas State by 13 on Sunday.

Hardaway is confident the Tigers can get back to where they were just two weeks ago. But he’s also aware their window to do that is limited.
