Coach said she’s confident in Tigers’ commitment to women’s basketball

Memphis Tigers women’s basketball coach Alex Simmons has had to recruit nearly an entirely new roster from last year.
She’s brought in eight transfers, including power conference players Cori Allen and Jordan Hunter. Allen is a former Illinois guard and Hunter transferred from Auburn.
Relying heavily on the NCAA transfer portal has become a trend for college coaches across all sports.
