WICHITA, Kan. — Memphis Tigers coach Penny Hardaway barely waited for the question to come out of the reporter’s mouth.
Do you feel this season, for a lack of better words, is still salvageable? And how so?
“Oh, absolutely,” Hardaway said minutes after the final buzzer had sounded in another head-scratching performance by the Tigers.
Memphis (9-10, 4-3 American Conference) lost to Wichita State 74-59 on Saturday at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas, marking their second blowout loss to a league foe in four days.
