Scouting Report: A quick look at Tigers’ bowl opponent Florida Atlantic
The Owls aren’t strong on offense, as demonstrated by this play, where Southern Mississippi defensive back Ky'el Hemby (19) breaks up a pass intended for Florida Atlantic wide receiver BJ Alexander (84) on Dec. 10, 2020, in Hattiesburg, Miss. Southern Mississippi won 45-31. (Rogelio V. Solis/AP)
Florida Atlantic is led by former USF coach Willie Taggart and has a strong defense. But the Owls don’t have a 1,000-yard passer or a rusher with more than 500 yards, despite playing eight games.
