Spring camp notebook: RB Brandon Thomas has offseason surgery
“Everybody says, ‘Man, it doesn’t seem like we have the Kenny Gainwells and Tony Pollards and those names,’ ” Tigers football coach Ryan Silverfield said of his offense. “Guys that we knew were very explosive and part of this offense. I think we’ve added some of those pieces to the mix and I think we can be an explosive offense.” (Brad Vest/Special to The Daily Memphian)
Running back Brandon Thomas is out for the remainder of spring practices but coach Ryan Silverfield expects him to be back for fall training camp. In the meantime, Memphis spent much of Tuesday’s practice working on situational football.
