The Memphis Tigers have a glorious thing going.

They went into their 38-17 victory against Troy Saturday at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium as one of the top-two Group of Five and top-20 overall programs in the country, according to AP Top 25 voting.

Memphis has opened with two straight wins, including its 40-0 shutout of North Alabama. The Tigers are runaway favorites to win the American Athletic Conference, according to a preseason media poll.
