The biggest American Conference game of the season thus far comes during the No. 23 Memphis Tigers’ bye week.
No. 24 South Florida (4-1, 1-0 American) visits North Texas (5-0, 1-0) on Friday (6:30 p.m., ESPN2).
Both teams appear to be better than what many expected during the offseason and have emerged as legitimate conference title contenders.
