How Mike Montgomery impacts the rest of the Tigers’ linebacker room

Memphis football coach Charles Huff joked about whether linebacker Mike Montgomery had an apartment because it’s hard to figure out when he ever goes home.
The Southern Miss transfer and last year’s third team All-Sun Belt Conference selection is always at the Billy J. Murphy Sports Complex, which is the Tigers’ practice facility.
It would be hard to find another player on the roster who puts in more extra work than Montgomery.
