At Bazaar in Collierville, a taste test is only the beginning

It’s a Thursday night in mid-June, but instead of rushing home to tackle mealtime, 20 people have assembled at Collierville’s Bazaar food shop.

Seated around cafe tables, some have brought friends while others will make new ones as they share this French cooking class. 

The wine begins to flow, and private chef Penny Behnes opens the class by talking about lavender, an aromatic herb grown and harvested in the south of France.
