More than two weeks ago, then-Collierville Fire Chief John Selberg was placed on administrative leave.
Fire department staffers were told of the change by the assistant fire chief, who was then appointed interim chief.
But, overall details were scant, and rumors about why Selberg was on leave ran rampant.
The Town of Collierville said it couldn’t officially comment on a personnel matter, and a special-called public meeting to vote on Selberg’s employment status was canceled.
At the end of last week, Selberg retired, but there are still questions and there might be more ramifications co come.
Suburbs reporter Abigail Warren and suburbs editor Clay Bailey join us today to talk about the situation and what might happen now.
