Local champion readying for next ‘Jeopardy!’ appearance

When you get the call to appear on “Jeopardy!” the show’s producers ask you to bring several outfits along with you.

That’s because they want the television audience to think the shows are recorded one day at a time, as they are broadcast, even though they actually tape five in a day.

So, when Germantown resident Laura Faddah headed to California for her “Jeopardy!” appearance on Oct. 29, she duly packed enough suits, shirts and other accessories to play several games, despite the embarrassing feeling of hubris that might entail.

But it was a good thing, because Faddah, 49, wound up needing them.
