Embezzlement case leaves high school band short on funds

The Southaven High School Band Boosters are grappling with a significant financial setback after their former treasurer, Krystina Thompson, was charged with embezzling close to $40,000 from the organization.
The issue came to the board’s attention in March.
After receiving a notification from a fundraising company about a past-due balance, school officials contacted the booster club’s board.
