What a possible College Football Playoff expansion means for Memphis
The Memphis Tigers (shown at spring practice on March 23) could potentially earn a spot in an expanded College Football Playoff. AAC teams will have to compete against the other G5 conferences for that slot, but the chances are still much higher than in the old format. (Mark Weber/Daily Memphian file)
The playoff field could expand to 12 teams, which will affect Group of Five teams and conferences.
