New riverfront pollinator garden has ‘role to play’ in habitat loss
A new pollinator garden near Beale Street Landing was planted by volunteers. On Saturday, May 21, the first of a series of River Quest nature walks will start at the pollinator garden. The one-hour immersion will be led by park ranger Allison Brown. (Mark Weber/The Daily Memphian)
Wildlife cameras, native species, river quests and a citizen science experiment are poised to help people understand the river as more than just a pretty view or a shipping corridor.
