Martin: Crushing loss to Navy brought max pain for Memphis football

In the wake of a crushing loss on Saturday, Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield had a message for his team.
He wants them to remember the pain.
“I told those guys, remember this pain. Remember this hurt,” Silverfield said on the postgame show. “And you should.”
It’s unclear if that will get through to the players, or the impact it will have on the players. Maybe they really will carry the feeling with them for the rest of the season.
But one thing’s for sure: This is a pain Memphis fans certainly remember.
