A Saturday night patrol with a Memphis police officer
“(As an officer,) you have to decide what’s your legal procedure and what’s the best outcome for everyone involved,” Officer Amber Campos said. (Mark Weber/The Daily Memphian)
Memphis Police Department Officer Amber Campos’ Saturday night, Oct. 26, shift was nearly over when the call for a woman named Erin came through.
It was the second time Campos had responded to the Breedlove Apartments in North Memphis for Erin.
The first call came a few hours earlier after Erin’s sister called police about concern she was trying to harm herself by taking pills. After talking with Erin and her sister outside in the parking lot, Campos took a report and left the apartment complex.
