Tigers Talk: Offense starts slow but performs well under pressure
Welcome to this edition of Tigers Talk with The Daily Memphian’s Tigers football beat writer Frank Bonner and college-sports columnist John Martin. Bonner and Martin address some of the most pressing topics and storylines throughout the season.
People were wondering if the Tigers offense had turned a corner after their 52-44 victory against North Texas. How did you feel about the offense after last Saturday’s 33-28 win against Charlotte?
Frank Bonner II: The last two games have shown the offense can lock in and get points when it needs to. The final drive to score the go-ahead touchdown against Charlotte was nearly flawless. Part of the issue, though, is Memphis might not have been in that situation if it scored more than 7 points in the first half.
