DeSoto Central High boys soccer team fined, placed on probation

DeSoto Central High’s boys soccer team is on probation following allegations that a student from another school participated in its tryouts.
The Mississippi High School Activities Association issued a penalty to DeSoto Central on Nov. 4, including a one-year disciplinary probation for the team, as well as a $100 fine.
The MHSAA is the official sanctioning body of all public junior and high school athletic competitions statewide.
