Research shows that diversity in policing can help establish community trust.
In this story, three MPD officers talk about how their backgrounds have helped their law enforcement careers.
They include a former ballerina, a former professional runner, and an Asian American who didn’t want to “do nails or ... be a doctor or a lawyer.”
