It was pouring outside, the temperature plummeting as a dead-of-winter cold front blew through Memphis.
Inside FedExForum, a rainbow appeared.
It came from the right hand of PJ Haggerty, dropping — from about 30 feet away — out of thin air and into the basket, brightening Tigers coach Penny Hardaway’s outlook as he began to realize it was one of those nights something good was simply destined to fall Memphis’ way.
