Memphis Police Department withdraws from accreditation agency

The Memphis Police Department has withdrawn its accreditation from a multinational agency.
The department is no longer certified by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), a credentialing organization that ensures its affiliate agencies voluntarily meet an established set of professional standards.
