Andrew Mathewes was heading west on Peabody Avenue one morning when his 2-year-old son Beckett suddenly started wailing.
“I want to see the horse!” Beckett was yelling. “I want to see the horse!”
Mathewes was mystified, wondering why there was a horse in a residential area just on the edge of Downtown Memphis. He kept driving and didn’t think much of it.
