Iconic blue dog paintings replaced

The prominent blue dog paintings that once dominated the intersection of Union Avenue and Cleveland Street were replaced after decades on the side of the building.
Local artist Stacy Early convinced the owners of Union Centre, 1331 Union Ave., to remove the sun-damaged blue dog paintings and instead add fresh, Memphis-inspired artwork along the sides of the building.
