Political Roundup: Lowery stumps, red state strategies and new voter numbers

Shelby County Commissioner Mickell Lowery is touting his experience across two terms on the Commission in his bid to become the next Shelby County Mayor in the 2026 elections.

Lowery told a group of 40 at the Frayser Exchange Club this past week that he wants to change the culture of the mayor’s office and sees the office as being the “chief relations officer” for the county.
