Good Fortune’s owners plan to open pizza joint

Good Fortune Co. and Playa Bowls received a total of $118,700 in grants Wednesday, July 16, to open restaurants Downtown.
The Downtown Memphis Commission Center City Development Corp. approved an $88,700 Special Development Grant for Good Fortune Co., a dumpling and noodle restaurant, to renovate a 5,300-square-foot office space at 361 S. Main St. for a fast-casual pizza restaurant.
Good Fortune Co. co-owners and chefs Sarah Cai and Arturo Leighton plan to not only renovate the space next door to their business but also buy the three-bay building to grow their ventures in the area, according to the CCDC application.
