Buckley: What the Memphis NCAA academic cheating scandal really means

The NCAA on Wednesday penalized the Memphis Tigers athletic department for academic misconduct committed by members of its men’s basketball and softball programs during the 2023-24 school year.
As part of a negotiated settlement, the Tigers agreed that rules violations occurred.
