Former Tigers star David Jones-Garcia signs two-way contract with San Antonio Spurs

David Jones-Garcia has earned another NBA opportunity.
Jones-Garcia, a 6-foot-4 wing who went by David Jones when he played for the Memphis Tigers in 2023-24, has signed a two-way deal with the San Antonio Spurs, according to a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday evening.
The news comes hours after Jones-Garcia made the NBA 2K26 All-Summer League First Team following an NBA 2K26 Summer League in which he averaged 21.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals through five games while shooting 52.9% from 3-point range for the Spurs.
