Behind outstanding pitching from starter Quinn Mathews and an explosive offense, the Memphis Redbirds trounced the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A, Baltimore Orioles), 13-2, on Friday night at Norfolk’s Harbor Park.
Mathews (3-4) allowed two runs on five hits, walked one and struck out nine in 6.2 innings pitched.
