In the late 1990s when Kennison Kyle worked as a Santa Claus at Kmart, a little wide-eyed blond boy came and sat in his lap.
“What would you like for Christmas?” Kyle asked.
“Santa,” he said, “I don’t want mommy and daddy to divorce.”
