New Memphis Tigers football coach Charles Huff came up with a mantra since being hired.
“#CloseTheGap.”
It’s what he tweets every time he signs a new recruit — a nod to Memphis getting back to the top of the American Conference and competing for a playoff spot. These are no doubt exciting times for the Memphis administration, which didn’t even think it would have the chance to reset in football.
