After London win, Ja Morant says he wants to be in Memphis
LONDON — Until he put on the uniform and stepped on the court, it was hard to know for sure if Ja Morant would play for the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday in London.
There was so much noise.
Morant, who is the subject of trade talks, hadn’t been in a Grizzlies jersey since Jan. 2. The team said it was a calf contusion.
The news surrounding the point guard has created a media whirlwind. Speculation has run rampant, and it only escalated after an uncomfortable press conference by the star on Wednesday in Germany.
Was Morant going to play?
“Good chance,” said Memphis coach Tuomas Iisalo on Saturday. Iisalo turned out to be right.
And how would he play?
Like Ja Morant.
