Could something have actually changed with the Memphis Tigers since their two-game skid against Tulsa and Wichita State last month?
Whether it was the soul-searching coach Penny Hardaway said his players did while snowbound in Wichita, Kansas, or “the little dispute” Tigers players had in the locker room following their collapse to Tulsa that point guard Dug McDaniel recently shed light on, something appears to have lit a fire.
Memphis is 3-1 in its past four games, with wins over Florida Atlantic, UAB and Charlotte by an average margin of 20 points and a 2-point loss to Tulane at home.
